OUT here
This project sets out to explore what it’s like to be LGBTQ+ living outside major cities.
I’m speaking to queer people who moved away to find themselves, but then chose to return to smaller towns, villages, or rural areas. I want to understand why so many of us feel the pull of big cities to be ourselves, and why it can be hard to feel comfortable in our hometowns.
Through portraits and conversations, I’m exploring how place shapes identity, belonging, and community.
